The Pharmacist" to-be" !

This past Friday Cameron had his coating ceremony for the school of pharmacy at the University of Washington. It was really exciting to get a taste of what the next four years are going to be like for him and who he gets to share them with! He should be kept busy that's for sure! I told him he was a bit of a cheater :) The dentistry and medical students don't get their "white" coats until at least half-way through their program. Those pharmacy students haven't done much yet! But sounds like there will be plenty to come!

You know, it was really exciting as I sat and listened about some of the classes and some of the out-of-the-classroom experiences that these guys are going to be able to experience. I think Cameron has found a really good fit for him; chemistry, health science, anatomy and physiology, patient care, and exploring new ideas and solutions. Cameron has such a compassion for people, and is such a people-pleaser....meaning he has such a genuine interests in other people's needs. And bonus - he's a smarty pants!!!  I'm excited for him and think this is going to be something that fits his interests to a "T"! He seems to be excited as well. So good news! One week down, however, many in a year times four to go! Ha!

Our BIG news!!!

We found out our growing "it" is a she! And we are so so so very excited!!! It was so unreal to see the ultrasound! To see a face, hands, feet, a heart!!! Best part is, she is healthy and normal!

To tell our families we made a PINK cake and had our mom's cut into it! Bring on the PINK !!!

Exploring Seattle

For our anniversary this year... we moved! We're living big I know! :) Two years already! Crazy how fast time flies when you're having fun!

Actually we decided to take a quick camping trip amidst the towers of cardboard boxes decorating our new home! If you have not been to Paradise, Washington resident or not, you must! I remembered, as we drove through the national forest, that I had been there years before with a good friend and her family! Thank you Greens! What a fun trip!? It was fun going this second time though, remembering some of the sites I had seen years before. Paradise, a good climb up the still awake volcanic monster, was absolutely beautiful! The entire Rainer National Park is filled with campgrounds, hiking trails and amazing views and overlooks. My favorite part - the wildflowers! There were endless fields of flowers blooming in purples, reds, yellows, whites and oranges. Breath-taking!

I'm not sure if Cam appreciated the flowers as much as I did, but he was generally a good-mannered hiker. ;-) Actually, he was a very patient hiker. I am recently sucking more wind than I used to, and climbing a 1600 ft elevation gain trail with a growing belly was more work than it used to be...we'll leave it at that.

Snow!!!! That's what happens when you keep hiking vertical!!!!

Guess what's just down the streeet!? The famous 28-mile Burke-Gilman Bike Trail. It follows along the shoreline of the Washington Lake - I think....might have to double check that actually. But it's beautiful! Goes right through campus as well!

View off of the biking trail!

In this one, if you look close enough, you
              can see the space needle!

My new favorite place to swim! Just a mile down the road from our apartment is the Green Lake area. BEAUTIFUL!!! It is always overflowing with runners, bikers, walkers, swimmers, rowers, volleyball players, frisbee throwers, soccer ball kickers, you name it! And surprisingly, the water is not too chilly! Couple more weeks, however, and that will change! Boo! But I'm loving it for now!

Moved and unpacked!!!!

It's official! Cam and I are officially Seattle-ites!!! Thank you thank you thank you! To family and friends! What would we have down without you - and I am certainly not loads of help carrying boxes right now! Love you all so very much!

 Moving Day!!!!

Thank you Garner boys! and Mama Garner!  For all your help and muscles!

Those pile of boxes were slightly overwhelming!

It was kind of nerve-wrecking! Loading everything we own up in one vehicle. Putting Cameron in the driver's seat and following behind in our car, I realized, if anything happened to that truck, my whole life would go with it! But we made!!!! All in one piece! Let the Seattle adventures, job hunt, and school prep begin!!!!
