There are a whole slue of these... I had too many favorites. :) And yet again we are so thankful for the oh-so talented RaeAnne. These will forever be special! She did such a fantastic job catching all of Laila's little quirks and fun and colorful personality! Thanks Rae! And happy 1st birthday little bug! 

BIRTHDAY Weekend

We celebrate Laila's first birthday president's day weekend! We were SO lucky to be surrounded by family and friends. Grandpa and Grandma Garner came up, and Lala and Opa along with Melani and cousin Jack. Grammy Joan and the Saunders clan also came up from Utah to celebrate with us, and a bunch of our Seattle friends. We of course visited the Seattle sites over the course of the weekend, hit up the Zoo and Pike's market, finally met the big Fremont Troll and ate some delicious fish n chips! Here are a handful of pictures from the weekend's festivities!  (Yet again, I apologize for the side-ways pictures. Seriously, if anyone knows how to fix that on blogspot- give me a shout. They look right side up until I upload them... )

And on to the party! Of course it was Zebra themed! In honor of her beloved Zebra (her little stuffed animal friend that seems to be her most favorite thing in the world!). Thank you to all those who helped! It was so fun! And a memory that will last forever!!!

We were able to have a super cute little Valentines party with a bunch of our friends! There was a little photo "booth" set up to take pictures and here are just a few; 

Laila and Luke, her first valentine! She wasn't too sure about the whole deal though. 

Luke was SO determined to give Laila her valentine..whether she was going to take it happily or not :) Sweet Luke. 

But we were both happy to be each other's Valentines! 

These were the valentines we made. Dad's shovel and pail full of delicious muddy buddies and a bunch of hand-painted valentines for our friends and cousins. 

I am absolutely in love with Valentines. I feel so blessed and so fortunate to have so many people in my life that share their love with me, sacrifice so much  for me, laugh and cry with me, build me up, teach me, and learn with me and now those same people and so many more touch the lives of my family as well. Happy day of love everyone!
